Expectations for Senior Boys' and Senior Girls'  Matches
(complaint form link is at bottom of page)

 

The host site must provide:

Equipment:           

regulation net(s)
posts (padding strongly recommended)
quality COLOURED LEATHER game ball
team bench/chairs for both teams
score table/chairs
official’s stand (attached to standard or free standing)
regulation aerials
score cards

Personnel:  

2  score keepers
2  lines persons
1 competent umpire  (not to be changed during the match)

Score-sheet:   Regulation score-sheets must be used.

Reporting Scores:  The winning coach must confirm victory by reporting the game scores to:  www.fvvc.bc.ca   Log in and report the scores and please retain a copy of each scoresheet in case of a discrepancy in the results.

Start Times:   Gymnasiums must be available for teams to warm up a minimum of 30 minutes before game time. All equipment must be set-up at that time.  20 minutes before the official start time of the match all officiating personnel must be in attendance.

Fines:  If a visiting senior coach attends a league match at a school and the school does not meet the expectations listed above he/she can fill out a Complaint Form (see below), have it signed by the Volleyball BC official, and submit it to the Volleyball Commissioner.  Should the complaint be substantiated a fine of $50.00 will be levied each time a school fails to meet the published criteria.

If a Volleyball BC official attends a league match at a school and the school does not meet the expectations listed above he/she can fill out a Complaint Form (see below) and submit it to the Fraser Valley Volleyball Commissioner.   If substantiated, a $50.00 fine will be levied.  The fine will be levied each time a school fails to meet the published criteria.
